The TPIS Internet Website say this:

We have tried many modifications to the LS series of intakes and found little gain, we have cut them apart and glued them back together and found nothing, until now.
More for your bigger cubic inch stroker LS1/6 motors, and stock cubed head and cam motors. We have seen over 30 HP with the throttle body and modified LS6 intake (see "Modified LS6 Intakes").
The Vette Oval is sold without the fly by wire motor and idler gear. If you are installing on a car originally equipped with these parts, then these parts will transfer to the Oval. If you are installing in a special application, you will need to purchase these parts. Because of the larger size of these throttle bodies, you must have your intake manifold modified with one of our oval noses.
This combo will outperform the FAST intake up to 6000 rpm
