I was looking over the roster for those competing in the Ultimate Track Car Challenge at Vir on 7/24/09 and noticed that Craig Gelston in his wild C4 is going up against Danny Popp in his C5Z. This is going to be a great shootout!!! I am signed up to instruct that weekend with NASA but I am going down Thurs night so I can get a prime seat to watch this great race.

Anyone else going?

Seriously, guys, I suck at time trials, but hope to carry the flag for the
guys out there who still (for whatever reason!) drive C4 corvettes.
The actual weekend of racing that follows I hope will be a lot of fun
if I can keep mr. Popp in sight.
I have sent a spy to Mid-O this weekend (Ed) to observe him.

I can't wait to see how the results go. Good luck Craig and Danny. Does anyone know if Rob Morrison is still planning on competing in his crazy C5Z? I bought my Moton C5R shocks from him and learned all about the car he was preparing for the race. He was still trying to get some stuff figured out with the car though. If he does make it to the event and the car stays running he will be someone to watch out for too. Take lots of pictures for whoever goes!

and I am communicating with the folks that are going to run it now,
since we serviced it the whole time Larry ran it.

Do you remember the Tarheel event in February or 07? IT was the first time I had the vette out on track, i saw your qualifying time and Seriously you have a fast car!! You'll do well, it should be great to see what that "C4" (if you can even consider it a c4 anymore) can do!!
