Fender liners... needed?
Ok, while this may seem like a really stupid question I'm looking to do a few things to my race car, and one of them involves removing the front inner fender liners, that attach to/near the front bumper. I'd have a sealed front nose (with brake ducts), splitter and I've seen pictures of WC vettes without liners, but i want to know what you all think.. are they needed?
In my old race cars none of them had them, but they all had metal fenders.

Lots of fibreglass fendered RX7s run without liners... but you can easily damage the fenders... guys have been spraying rhino liner or using leading edge tape on the inside of the fenders to try and make them last longer...

I've never run them. If they flattened out the underside of the car, I'd see a reason to, but since they basically just keep debris from flying up into the body crevasse's, I just consider it extra weight. In the rear, you might need to make sure any pumps etc are protected from flying rocks.

Are these the top fender liner that goes over the top of the tire?
Should they be removed on a C4 too?
Air is blowing out the fender opening not inward toward the engine right?

Doesn't sound like there is a comparable part on the C4. Maybe something I can saw off?
