At a Road America SCCA event, a Corvette driver was doing his thing when his hind-end swung around unexpectedly. The cause: A fire he hadn't noticed melted the tires. Slide show of the action below.

Ignoring the context/carnage/bad luck of one in the vette community, that is just a killer shot!
Drifting on fire, like it just ate a little Nissan 240 drift car and crap'd out the leftovers
Get the RAW 20 meg file of that and start printing up some posters. I'll buy one for the shop.

Engine ventilated, hot oil ignites, you can see from the photos that it was one of the cylinders on the right bank that gave up the ghost. JB went of on the first lap and probably picked up some crap that blocked his radiator and it was already a hot weekend. I was told his oil temps were around 350 during the 3 laps he got to race. RA is just a brutal track on cars.
