C6Z06 wheel studs
haven't done this lately, never done it on a C6Z06. Can you swap to longer studs without removing the hubs??? Last time I tried on another car, it seems like I could get the OEM studs out in the front, but couldn't get the longer ones back in. An of course the rear is worse.
Anybody done this lately???? I need spacers, and can't afford to lose any more thread.

never tried it with the hubs in the car, but from what I recall the fronts should be fine... but with the rears the dust shield gets in the way.
pulling the hubs only takes a couple minutes, and makes it much easier.
oh, and ARP studs are a PITA to press in.

it's a "couple of minutes" I don't have right now. Guess I'll just have to let the calipers and wheels continue to "self clearance" themselves at VIR!

I just completed a swap to the SKF hubs and ended up swapping in the ARP studs prior to hub install. IMHO, it would be nearly impossible on the rears, but OK on the fronts.
I backed the lower ball joint nut up to the half shaft housing ( to protect thw ball joint stud threads), placed a small chisel between the two and gave it a slight wack to seperate the spindle from the ball joint to give me access to the hub bolts.
I also took the opportunity to install 2" sections of silicone hose around the ball joint dust sheilds at the same time.

Not these Performance Friction calipers.....the monoblocks have already cut a thin groove through the backs of all of my spokes. Wasn't bad over the winter, but the heat is really causing them to expand I guess.

Problem is the OEM's are all still in good condition, plus I still have a full set of GM Racing bearings left from my racing days.
I certainly not one who minds a good days work, but I also am not one who likes to tear things apart unnecessarily!
Thanks for confirming my memory!
