Default C6Z06 rear bar too much?

Have C5Z springs/shocks and rims/tires. Using the C6ZR1 front bar would it be better to use C6Z51 or C6Z06 rear bar? Car is street driven and might auto-x occasionally.

The ZR1 frt bar is 10% larger in diameter than C5Z.

C6Z51 rr bar is 8.5% larger than C5Z
C6Z06 rr bar is 18% larger than C5Z

Keep in mind there's a lot more to the story than OD of the bar. ID (and wall thickness) are equally important, as is arm length.

Bet you're better off where you with the OEM C5Z rear bar.

Have you done an alignment?

Not yet. Intending to go with conservative Z06 specs and lowering extra 1/2" as recommended by GM.

It would be nice to know the actual bar rates, but I have not seen that info posted.

The Pfadt comparison graph shows the difference in rates between the factory bars excluding the ZR1 front bar. The ZR1 front however is close to the T1 front bar and the ZR1 rear bar is close to the Z06 Rear to give you an idea.

The factory package with the best balance is the C5 Z06 or C6 Z51 set-up.
