Input on upper new Blackdog upper control arm
We've had a pretty decent response to our monoball conversion kits for the lower control arms, and quite a few requests for something similar for the upper arms.
The parts for the lowers come directly from what we use on the race cars...they are the exact same parts. The racecar, however, doesn't use anything resembling a stock upper arm, front or rear. We also use different pickup points, etc., so we'd need something totally different for the street.
We've worked up a couple of prototypes for he front arms, and have included some extra adjustments for both camber and caster over what the factory setup will give. But, if we are going to do a new design, we might as well capture as much of what you folks might want.
Right now, we have 1.6 total degrees of caster adjustment, without affecting camber or overall geometry. We are also shooting for something over 3 deg max negative camber. And since these will use hardened monoballs vs. any sort of flexible bushing, settings will remain much more consistent. What about noise? Feedback so far is that our lower monoballs are quieter than poly bushings.
