Brembo GT Kits Now Available
Brembo GT system is the best kit out there for the C5, C6, and C6Z by far. First of all when you're comparing the Brembo calipers to other calipers remember you're talking about a Corvette here.
THIS SYSTEM IS TUNED FOR THE CORVETTE. THE BIAS IS OPTIMIZED BY BREMBO
The vast majority of us use these kits for races 30 minutes or less not 600+ miles at 200mph on an oval. So getting the pads up to operating temps quickly is very important as well as keeping the heat from over powering the calipers and fluid. Having a caliper that gives you that big pedal is crucial to performance. This is largely due to the 380mm size of the rotor as well as the length and stiffness of the caliper. Also when comparing weights make sure you compare the weight WITH THE PAD. If you have a boat anchor pad on there the lightweight monoblock caliper isn't going to be useful.
Remember it's all about having the right tool for the job.
Oh and please don't underestimate the value of the REAR kit. IT HAS TO WORK TOGETHER so you can trail brake into the corner to get that fast lap. (I've heard DP is the master of trail braking). Please make sure you do all the homework and really go over the options before you purchase. Also when comparing costs realize that people are selling kits that need bias adjusters, new master cyclinders among other things. Also some kits are called "Big Brake Kits" but they are very inferior compared to the Brembo GT and require safety wiring rotors and calipers that are hardly big or stiff enough for a 500hp supercar 'vette.
We have tons of Brembo kits out there and everyone loves 'em. Setting records all over the place.
We also carry StopTech AP Racing and Alcon for all your CORVETTE SPECIFIC needs.
It's the right tool for the job, not the most expensive that wins.
Thanks,
Mike
