Default slight play/noise in the rear wheels

car in the air, grab the wheel at 3 and 9 o'clock, move it around - there is a faint "click" and just a tiny amount of play.

at first i thought my bearing is going, but then i noticed that this only happens if i grab the wheel at those positions (trying to move top/bottom - no noise/play) and this is same on both rear wheels.

this makes me think it is something in the suspension.

ideas?

You can try a set of the Baer Tracker tie-rod ends, they are actually a bump-steer kit and you have to buy them in pairs. But they are a pretty good set-up. I've only seen one wear out and that was after 3 years of tracking, and even then you would just have to buy a new heim joint.

Jegs has them for $165 pair.

just an update - confirmed that both end links are bad, replacing with VB&P

I am thinking this would explain why the rear was jumpy crossing pavement seams with loaded suspension for the last few track days
