If they are scubs go for it. 35 and 40 tend to have a bit too much side wall flex in corners

Thanks. Could you suggest a tire pressure.

I would like to try to make sure that the rims of the wheels don't get chewed up because of the R888 sidewall rolling over to where the rim (especially the front on an autox course) makes contact with the pavement. Is this an unreaslistic concern?

I assume I can reduce the sidewall rolling over by proper tire pressure?

The wheels are all new condition stock OEM and I would like to be able to keep them in as good as possible....and hopefully sell them and buy a new set of wheels and properly sized tires if all goes well this summer.

Default Toyo's

I think you will find the Toyo R888's like more pressure.

There has been recent posts on this if you do a search.

My C5 with R888's tends to like 32 to 36 lbs (cold - front) with a 1 lb decrease in the rear. The best way to check is to do tire temp/pressure checks after a few hard laps and to also look at wear pattern across tire surface. This will also give you some good data on proper camber and alignment.
