Default c5 z06 wheels on c6 "z51"?

I searched but nothing really came up "prob didnt look hard enough" I was looking on craislist today and found a set. I would use these as my Track day wheels. Anybody running c5 z06 wheels on their c6?

I think you'll find some guys running a "square" setup on a C6 - 18x10.5 on all four corners - either same tires all round or with different sizes front & rear.

PM Bill Neal (WNeal) ... he's running C5Z wheels on his C6 track car.

I don't think the 17" diameter front C5 Z06 wheel will clear the Z51 brake setup.

I think you will find that the offset/backspacing is wrong on the rear wheels.

The offset on stock C6 Z51 rear wheels is 79 mm. The C5 Z06 rear offset is about 55 mm. (I forget the exact number.)

The bottom line is that C5 Z06 wheels will make the tires stick out of your fenders about 1 inch. I tried a set on my C6 Z51, and I decided they would not work for me.

I am running C5 Z06 Rears on all four corners with 315x30,18 Hoosiers.
Had to trim a bit of the front inner fender wheels and has steering stops installed.
No problems whatsoever and the car loves the set-up.

I wonder if there is something wrong with your car ... I would have it checked.

The C5 Z06 rear wheel works perfectly on the rear of the C6 Z51 car and that is what I have used on several of them. I also use a regular C5 rear wheel on the front of the C6. 18's all around.

I have also fitted a C5 Z06 rear (oem) to the rear of the C6 Z51, and indeed, it does stick out ~1 inch.

Now, please explain "perfectly well" to us. 1) Does that mean it also sticks out an inch in your car and it doesn't rub/cause any problems, or 2) does it mean it fits into the wheel well fine without sticking out.
