other than the body style, displacement, and tranmission, the rules are pretty much identical to what I ran in 03'....... except for them allowing a Tilton Starter ring (instead of a flywheel) for "ground clearance". I think they took a page out of the Caddi book on that one!

Thanks for all the good wishes from everyone... We are going to need them!!!
I called it a Z51 since the car started life as a Z51 road going 2005 Corvette... And I just wanted to get David to ask me!!!... Just kidding David...
Basically WC allows us to call it whatever we want... Since we do a lot of Z51 C6's for T-1 and Track, this is the logical extension.. I like the Z51 combination for T-1 and the street and track days, And, I want to differentiate us from the katech mega dollar motor crowd that seems to be the favorite of GM racing...
By the way, GM racing is a decidedly unfriendly crowd these days... As Lou discovered and I have found out, they basically offer no help of any kind, not even a "good luck", a decal or a hat!!!
as always, this is a completely self funded, self built, self engineered effort..
The LS3 engine we are using is a crate motor and this will be a test of how it holds up.
(As you all know Chris Ingle and the traceys have had a lot of difficulties with these engines, so we are plunging in and trying to sort it all out...)
Like I said, we will need a lot of well wishing... The first dyno runs yesterday were very sucessful and promising, and AJ is hammering away trying to get the car done by Monday... The kid is working hard on it...
So here we go again....

LS3 crate engine??? Please tell me your going to bump that thing up some. The World Challenge engines are hot, the stock ls3 is not. But testing is testing and what a better place to do it.
Good luck to you guys!

If you lower the engine to the MAX the rules allow, the flywheel is the LOWEST part.
