Default Anyone running 18x9.5's all the way around?

Would it really make that much of a difference if the rear was 18x10.5 in terms of looks? I'm asking because my BFG's are 11" wide (not mounted). They are 275/40/18's for the rears. Anyone who has BFG tires knows that they run larger than the size they say they are.

If I mount my 275/40/18's on 9.5" wide wheels, they will be a little taller. If I mount them on 10.5 wheels, they will be stretched a little wider so they would not be as tall.... correct?? (thanks)

i run 285/18 all around on 9.5 stock rims and it works real well. just have to roll the power on out of the curves or u burn up the rear tires a bit fast. i also run 315's in he back and they are fricken perfect!

Ok, thanks for the response on this. Do the 285's bulge out a bit from the rim? Also, do you get the traction control coming on at all?

they bulge slightly, virtually unnoticable. sidewalls are very stiff so it does not effect performance at all! no traction control errors! computer loves it!

I'm running the 18x9.5" silver thin spokes on all four. I noticed a nice acceleration difference verses the stock wheels! Plus they look nicer!

Ok, thank you very much for the replies!
The reason I'm asking this is because I just ordered new 18x9.5's and new BFG's: 265/40/18's for the fronts and 275/40/18's for the rears.
(**I currently run 265/35/18's from my 02' Camaro which are way too small on the sidewall. Especially in the rear.)

Yesterday I measured the new 275/40/18 BFG KD's and they are 11" wide!! So I thought "dammit, I should've gotten a 10.5" wheel for the rear". I measured the 265/40/18 KD tire and it was 10.5" wide. So then I thought "let me measure the width of the 265/35/18 tire that I already have mounted on the Camaro 18x9.5 wheel and see if it's "smaller" and sure enough... a 10.5" tire on a 9.5" wheel gets pulled in about a half inch in width making it 10" in width. So I'm guessing that the 11" tire on a 9.5" wheel will get pulled in about an inch in width making it 10". BUT I would probably lose a little height (maybe half an inch) and that wouldn't be good because there is a one half inch difference in height between the 265/40's and the 275/40's and I need that for the traction control to "hopefully" stay off.

Hope you guys can follow all of that!! Kindof confusing.. but got me thinking yesterday.

Sorry for asking, but would you happen to have a pic of the 285's on the 18x9.5's? Do they sit pretty wide in terms of the width? Also, what brand are they? (thanks)

no not a good one. sorry. are you measuring the contact patch on the ground? that's what really matters

and a lot of negative camber works miracles!!!!!!

No, I was just measuring from end to end. One mounted, one not. What brand tires do you run? Is your car lowered?
