Default Weighed the T1 car this weekend.....

Am not extremely happy.

3281.......with suited up driver and maybe 4 gallons of gas. Camera gear and G2X onboard but no cool suit (we only use it once a year). We are looking at 3100 dry/no driver.....

Who was it that said their post 'interior strip' weight was 29XXlbs? I sure would like to know how you got there. Are you running the sump, diff and tranny coolers? Anyone else even get close to 3k lbs dry? I don't think the coolers would be worth 100lbs but I'm not sure. Could be I suppose although the only braided lines are on the sump.

It would appear my earlier posts here and over on the 'other' forum were pretty much on the button. Had they not lowered the weight, we would have been right at 3280. Now, leaving a few gallons of fuel leeway to preclude uncovering the pump, we are still approximately 80lbs heavy.

Do you have a carbon fiber hood on it? That will save 15 or so lbs... I happen to know where one is for sale too!!

haha, I'm 3280 with me in it (although I'm 190). So no, I'm not near 3K lbs at all. Although, I was running on 17x11 repos, and I have a 98 coupe.... yea, sup 3K with no interior is not going to happen on a t1 car.

If you are at 3280 and we are the same, and I know what my driver weighs........were did you find an additional 50lbs I don't have.?

I keep coming back to trans/diff cooler and sump........you have them?

That day I pulled the interior I got 3,077 lb on low fuel. I came in at the last race at 3,289 on low fuel.

Have GMPP trans cooler, an oil cooler, sump. No diff cooler. Cool suit was out of the car on both of above. Small camera setup (ChaseCam) in the car. Left console and headliner in. Car is a 2002 w/o cats and mufflers.

Seems 2001 cars may have been lighter. I know 2 guys with 2001 cars with all sorts of stock stuff in (e.g., AC compressor) saying they were lighter than me. This was from last year when we all had interiors, but lighter is still, um, lighter.

Our numbers are close to the same.......my driver weighs (shhhhhhhh.........145) and you weigh? I wonder if the difference is the weight of the diff cooler, lines, pump etc....

Our trans cooler lines run all the way to the front of the car.....I could shorten them and put the cooler in the back (like the diff cooler). Might save 4-6 lbs in lines/extra fluid if I am lucky.

Smells like some of you have Chromemoly .095 wall rollcage tubing and some of you have .120 wall mild steel.....

I was close.........3109 drained of fuel...........sump/trans cooler may be on the chopping block (sump won't go until after we get some G2X data on pressures).

You didn't see the jack under the car ?!?

I am offering free "speed hole" installations. It's always more fun doing it to someone else's car.
