Default I'm ready for the season to start. Thanks to PFADT Eng

Spent yesterday at the shop going through the car and getting things ready to go. Installed the new shocks and mounted up some fresh rubber

I only got to put a couple miles on the car yesterday after the shock install, but I can tell you they are a HUGE improvement over the Bilstein sports I was running

The car feels so much more solid and responsive. It soaks up the bumps very well and does not get skiddish over rough pavement, even mid turn. I also feel like the I can get on the throttle earlier. The rear just feels so planted now. I played with the settings a bit and was very impressed to be able to feel a difference in adjustments I wound up setting them a 10 front and 12 rear. I will leave them there until I can get on the race rubber.

Big thanks to: Aaron, Robbin, and Jordan at PFADT Eng. They all were a big help and answering my questions

Our first local event is next weekend, then it's off to Dixie

What's a setting of 10 versus 12 do?

Is that bump, rebound or some of both?

Do you have any shock dyno curves for 10 versus 12?

The reason I ask it that my QA1's adjust both.
And it sounds like the same settings I used to run at that autox

10f/10r otherwise it would start to hop

8f/8r on a road course

I run 4r/4r for the street.

1f/8r at the drags.

Adjustable shocks is the only way to go if you drive your car on the street.

If I leave them turned up, they'll rattle my teeth out!

Bump and rebound are adjusted simultaneously.

Hey... car looks good. Can't wait to hear about how it works.

I should be at the event this weekend in Knoxville, and might even run if the weather co-operates and I take the Z06 on my trip. I will have to stop by and say hello when I see ya.

Yes, that's how the Pfadt's work.

Not optimal, but they're cheap and I'd rather have only one adjustment to mess up than 2 at this point.

Konis have one adjuster, but it's only does one, rebound or compression, forget which since I don't own a set.

It's rebound-only on SA Konis.

Very cool. It's going to be cold one for sure. I believe the high is showing 48 the last time I checked. The rain should be out of here Fri night or at the lastest Sat morning. Sun looks dry

By all means come by and say hi. It's always good to meet fellow CF members

I'm just using this event to get the car dialed in for Dixie.

It's only going to be 28 here on Sunday for a high, so I won't be driving the Z06 down afterall, but will have the Cobalt SS in snow tires...lol

I WILL come by and say hi. I was going to do the same back when I was registered for Dixie, but it's too far a drive from here.

Our adjustment adjusts both rebound and compression in a ratio of 3:1. We've developed the valving to make it easier to adjust for the vast majority of people that don't need or want double or triple adjustable shocks. Having the ability to increase or decrease the damping is very important for different track or road conditions. Keeping the adjustments in line is important, with multiple adjustments you can negatively effect the handling and most people want to drive there cars and they don't want to adjust the shocks all day. We're not the only quality shock company that has this option, in fact almost everyone does.

The adjusters on our shocks are on the bottom and you can adjust all 4 corners in 5 minutes without tools or raising the car. We have a lot of customers using them in T-1, Super Stock as well as the street. Given the Value, quality and functionality you can't beat them! They are a great value at $890 for a complete set!

I'm looking into suspension choices for either this year or the next season, so I will want to see how the car handles for sure... also how they work.

What are your spring rates compared to a stock z06? Your shock settings are way different from what I'm using in super stock.

Running stock springs. I have not had a chance to get on the race rubber with them yet. So I may very well end up changing them. What are you running yours at?

I have heard anything from 8-11 front and 10-16 rear. I just didn't want to mess with them a whole lot since the car acts so different on race tires, compared to streets.

I'm running Konis, but I'm running them much stiffer in the front than the rear. Maybe you are too and I'm just reading your settings wrong.
