Stock C5Z wheels will take 295/35/17 front 315/30/18 rear. Very fast setup

Stock 10.5X18 rear wheels all the way around can run 315/30/18's. Or anything down to a 275. 305's will fit with lots of room to spare.

The only issue with the wider tires may be rubbing on front brake ducts at full lock. I run the 10.5x 18s all around. My front 285x30s rub the ducts so I don't use full lock if I can avoid it. Not really a problem. The rear 315s fit fine.

If I want to run the same sizes front and back in order to be able to rotate the tires for maximizing wear would 285s be the largest size or can I go bigger?

You can run up to a 315/30/18 on the 18x10.5 C5Z rear wheels. If you are worried about rubbing I would go with 305's all the way around.

If using Active Handling, the same Diameter tire all the way around would be a problem. It wants to see taller rears.

I sure hope that someone running R-comps is not using active handling

295/35/17 square would be a good setup and cheaper than 305/18's.

No I dont use active handling on the racetrack. Getting airborne at Lime Rock and having the motor shutting off power on me taught me not to forget to shut the active handling off on the track. I dont want to run 17s all the way around. I have (4) 10.5s rear rims that I want to run a square set up with and I just wanted to know what is the largest tire I can run in the front without rubbing.

Default Hoosier 315-30/18 all around on stock rear 18x10.5

I think this would work as other manufacturers recommend a minimum 10.5 rim width for 315 tires. Hoosier, however recommends 11 inch rims. Can anyone comment from their experience about A6 or R6 on Speedline 18x10.5 in all corners?
Would there be a loss of patch or loss of tire stability in corners of that tire on 10.5 " rim? Would this have any inpact on preferred operating tire pressures?
IMHO I think this would be ok for autocross but cannot back this up with my own experience.
Mike
