Been wondering the same thing. Seems like it might make sense if:

1. you have some place to store it and
2. have enough buds to share it with to make sense.

I have a place i can store it on the farm and yeah i have a few people who are willing to go in together on the trailer so it would be worth while. rather then myself just towing and then hauling someones tires and then having them drive to the event. just doesnt add up since a few of us all go to the same track but they are usually long treks to each track

wow, that would be long for a tag trailer, which sounds like what you're talking about. they do make 2-, 3- and 4-car gooseneck trailers. you'd need a really beefy tow vehicle also. i'd guess 26' is about right for 2-car. note that 6-8' of the trailer would be the gooseneck overhang.

I know a husband/wife pair of instructors that tow their 944's everywhere. 1 big *** truck and a 2 car trailer..... works for them.

Derek,
I have been using a chevy dually with a 454 to pull our 34 foot enclosed trailer with 2 cars for years. I just bought a 2006 chevy with the duramax diesel last week. This truck will pull on open trailer with 2 cars so easy you won't hardly know it is back there. These trucks are going pretty cheap right now so if you don't already own one, now is a good time to buy one.

By the way, I have my 34 foot enclosed trailer for sale now if you are interested. Probably not that much more then a new open trailer would be.

This is what we have (2 car) at the shop. We would like to use it more but many times it is easier to use single car carrier.

Default 2 car trailer

Here's the best built tag trailer you can get for 2 cars. I've been towing 2 Corvette's on it for a few years now without any problem. A dually pick up is best to tow with. You can call Miami Trailer & Equipment at 888 597-4443, ask for Alan and he will have it delivered to you. I think price was under $5,000 new, but he might have a used one.

Pulled 2 race cars in a 34 foot enclosed trailer with a Chevy express 3/4 ton van. Towed this rig thousands of miles up and down the east coast to various track days. Van handled it easily, but we were VERY careful about the weight balance in the trailer and on the hitch. Both van and trailer were level. We did some suspension work on the van to help it. Can be done, if you pay attension

For what your looking to do Derek honestly a Dually would be overkill. I pull a 30ft flat bed with a 3/4 ton dodge single axle with hay and tractors and have no issues.

As for your trailer i had talked to Dressen about making a trailer for me to load my vette on since it is so low. Custom 32 ft with the correct ramps and in a gooseneck was around $7000 but i could load a lowered car on it with no issues 2 5000lb axles. this way i figured the trailer was long enough to put tire racks and a tool box on it.

sgs that looks like a nice trailer is it ball mounted??? how does the loading process work on it? any possibly problems with loading a c6zo6 on it at all that would have a front splitter, i am not wanting to have to rig up some board type ramps all the time since that can be a pain in the ***.

The trailer is a ball mount type, not a goose neck or 5th wheel.
We ordered the long ramps with it and didn't have an issue loading the C5 Z06's, but never loaded a C6 Z06.
Many good points about this trailer: 16" heavy duty tires, big axles, no problem opening the doors getting out of the car, built like a tank, doesn't sway going down the road but might have to use a board in front of the ramps depending on the height of your car if it's been lowered.
Small price to pay for a real safe open 2 car trailer going down the road.
Have them send you a brochure with details so you can take some measurements.
