Gingerman Raceway HPDE for a good cause, April 18
Spectator-Racing would like to formally invite you guys to our Champions Track Event:
Saturday April 18 at Gingerman Raceway
Start the racing season right at our High Performance Driving Event in South Haven, MI, and help those affected by Alzheimer's Disease. It will be a full day of driving and fun, with an all day HPDE, lunchtime parade laps, and an after party with music, food, and beverages provided.
All proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help this worthy cause. You can go to the track any weekend, but how many times do you get to go to the track AND help those in need?
We're trying to make this event more accessible to drivers' families, as well. Starbucks is bringing coffee, local restaurants will be providing lunch for drivers, and Spectator-Racing is providing beverages. We are also planning on music, auctions, and door prizes.
Ever want to let your wife (or husband) take a few laps on the track? During the lunch hour, for a $20 donation to AA, anyone is welcome to drive thier vehicle around the track at more "reasonable" speeds - no vehicle restrictions and no helmets required!
Sport trucks are welcome at the event, such as Ford Lightnings and GMC Syclones.
Registration and tech inspection begins at 7:30
First group on track at 9:00
After party begins as soon as the last car is off the track, around 5:00
To register or for more information, click on:
www.spectator-racing.com
(note the dash...)
Or email us at:
spec1@spectator-racing.com
Weather permitting, we'll be camping Friday night at the track. Come on out!
(Edited with new info - drivers get free lunch, door prizes added, car show removed.)

Whoops! Fixed it. I cut and pasted that from the website so I'd better fix it there, too:o
This is a great event for you, there aren't any swamps around Gingerman

This is the best track in the area to really open it up, as there are no walls or trees to smack into if things go wrong.
It is a challenging track, with some tricky corners. Definately wider and longer (therefore faster) than Waterford. The only knock against it is that it doesn't have as many elevation changes that tracks like Grattan or Mid-Ohio have.

Sounds fun! Im closest to Nelsons Ledges here in Ohio so thats the track Ive been to the most. It too is fast and fun! Waterford was fun when I tried it but I have heard lots of good things about Gingerman too.

It wouldn't really matter to me. I'm more interested in looking at track prep'ed cars than "show cars" and I can do that just walking around the paddock. However, if a car show would attract more people and let you get to your fundraising goal or beyond, then by all means. My only concern would be with the additional people and the security of our stuff. Some of us tend to leave a lot of stuff out during the day. It would be a shame if things grew legs and walked off.

I went on your web page and sent you an e-mail last week, but have gotten no reply. I have a few questions about the event, and cannot find a way to register for the event on your page. Please advise.
