Machavern's C6 Takes Overall win at V8 StockCar Palm Beach
Dave Machavern took the overall and V8GT-1 class wins on Saturday and Sunday at PBIR in the V8 StockCar Road Racing Series event.
Mac's Vette is a Riggins Competition built and prepped TA type tube frame, Derhaag bodied car powered by an SB2 small block. Second overall on Sat. was Jon "Chevy" Leavy in his Rocketsports Camaro.
Bob Turnage was the first ever winner of the new V8GT2 class on Sunday in his ex Chris Hall Grand Am C5 Vette built by Joe Aquilante.
Despite being down close to 100 hp, Bob was able to hang pretty well with the Stock Car GTA entry's.
Our new V8 GT2 class is for SCCA STO, SCCA GT-2, T1, Koni Challenge GS, NASA ST cars etc. The performace bench mark for the class is the SCCA STO class.
Next race at Sebring February 21 & 22 with CFR SCCA.
