Default Heal-Toe Pedals

Would some of you guys take a look at these:

http://www.CustomCorvetteAccessories...ingpedals.html

I'm interested in what you think about the surface texture.

Thanks

I used a set of Ultimate Pedals on my past CTS-V and they were great, those look similar (Pyramid finish). I don't like that the gas pedal is different, though.

If anything, when I had my Z06, I'd want a better gas pedal.

Just another option...

No one likes the ones at CCA ???

I saw the Elite on a friends car and didn't like the way it wobbled around. I guess this can be over come with some extra work but I don't want to fuss with it.

What do you guys think of the "BLOCK" design specified for road racing ???

No experience here, but I think I'd go with the pyramid finish.

Howie, I put these pedals on my first Z06 when I was learning how to heel and toe. It made it easier I think to learn.

I don't have them on my race car though. Now that I have it down and use race shoes I don't feel they offer any advantage anymore.

I needed to raise my gas pedal a little. I used a 1/4" piece of plywood and zip tied it on. It's also lighter weight then those fancy ones.

Hi Steve

I don't percieve an issue with the height relationship between the pedals. And since they are all the same thickness, this will remain unchanged.

Did you look at the pictures in the link?? Although the BLOCK style is promoted for road racing due to G-forces the GRID is promoted for AutoX and is also recommended by the guy selling these.

I definately need the clutch pedal when its wet outside or my foot completely slips off. I have a rag under the seat for this right now

PS: Did you see my 1:34.61 ...... Carlos better be putting a big cam in that Cobra

Carlos has a Mustang. No cam will be big enough. That's a great time. I've run those times not to long ago. I'm not sure what pedals I would get. For me I think the autocross ones would be better. Maybe you can have CA mix and match. Dead and clutch pedal, block style. Brake and gas pedal, grid style.

Steve

They don't really mix and match. Besides, they don't make a GRID gas pedal. Only the BLOCK or SATIN for the gas. The dead pedal doesn't even enter the equation as I have never had a problem with the stock. But I will install it since it comes with the kit.

The factors I am concerned with are:
1. When its wet my foot slips off stock clutch pedal. The Grid offers the best grip advantage.

2. My foot has slipped off the brake and into the space between it and the gas pedal. So again best grip seems to make sense. But probably it will never happen once I have the wider gas pedal.

The owner has the GRID setup in his car. And now you would pick the same. So I think thats what I will order

AND .... thanks on the PB !!!

I have Ultimate Pedals' heel & toe gas pedals on both my Ferraris and Mercedes Cosworth. My Z06s have the Elite Engineering heel & toe gas pedals. The beauty of the Elite Engineering pedal is that it is a direct replacement not an aluminum plate screwed onto the existing gas pedal.

Hi Howie,

I just bought one of these gas pedals. Have not received it yet but will give it a try at Spring Mountain.
