Autocross tire question - C6 Z06 tires size
I am miving up to Hoosier A6 for Autocross. What size is recommended for C6 Z06 size wheels? My car is a C6 Z51 with Z06 body pannels.
Any help would be geatly appriciated.

345-18" on a "normal" C6?
Any chance of fitting a 345-18" Hoosier A6 on a C6 without the Z06 bodywork? Have CCW 11" rears which can accommodate the tire - but not sure about the room - just for autocross, so don't care if it sticks out, though rubbing somewhere might be a problem

Thaks for the input.....Also, How radical does the alignment have to be? I just read on the Tire Rack site that I need to run 2.5 to 3 degrees of camber. Is this correct? Is this practical for a car that I use as a daily driver?
Thanks for the help.

I flip the tires on the rim after about 3 weekends and turn the tires into practice tires.

I run -2.4 in the front and -0.7 in the rear. The front setting actually wears the INSIDE of the tire out faster than the outside. If you run stock settings, you'll destroy your outside shoulder quickly.

Thanks. Do you drive your car on the street also? I only plan to autoX once per month (1 practice day and 1 race day). I also use this car as a daily driver. Will your recommended setting work for both....or am I hoping for too much?
Thanks for the help.

- This will also affect your toe, but that is easily adjusted if you have created two preset alignments.
I remove my shims and turn the tie-rod to change camber-1 and toe from 1/16 in to 1/16 out. Takes less than 5 minutes per side when the tires are off.
A little more to prep before a trackday.

I've got -2.2 front and -1.2 rear, with zero toe front and 0.1 toe-in in the rear. I haven't had that alignment for long, so I'll have to wait and see how it treats my street tires...but on other cars, I've never had any real issue with running in the neighborhood of 2 degrees negative camber up front provided the toe is zero...once you toe the front out some, that combined with negative camber can start to eat tires pretty quickly.
You don't truly "need" -2.5 to -3.0 to run the A6's, it's just the general range where they're going to work best.

you need 8.5" wide rims on the front and 12" wide rims on the rear to run these sizes at MINIMUM. Keep that in mind. Yes you should run aggressive allignment (-2.0 is fine). Yes that will wear out your street tires more quickly, no way around this. Do you want to eat up $1500 R compounds in a few days? If not, you need the allignment.
