Default Anyone Use a Centerforce LMC Pressure Plate/Clutch Disc?

Has anyone had any experience using the Centerforce LMC pressure plate/clutch disc? I'm planning on getting it as replacement for the one on my '02 C5 Z06. My car sees about 20 track days (HPDE-type) per year.

Thank you!
Anita

I use it on my 68 camaro which is 'healthy' to say the least. Drives much like the dual friction, not spongy like stock, but does have some bite. Still streetable though and not on/off.

Looks like you're the only one so far! Seriously, thanks for the feedback--it's very much appreciated. And like you said, you're not using it on a grocery getter LOL. I hate to ask you this especially if you have to search, but do you know very approximately how many miles you have on the pressure plate/clutch disk?

Thanks!

Thanks! Did a search and this looks like this might the thread/poster you're refering to? Couldn't find the LMC specifically mentioned on that forum via the search either. Hey at least they had an easy anti-spam verification question. I guess I could always sign up for the board and pm him too!

Thanks again!

about 5k miles on it so far, actually just pulled the motor for other reasons this winter, clutch looks fine, no signs of real wear even after a dozen passes on drag radials right before it was pulled.

One thing- with the low inertia flywheel and pressure plate, it can be a bit less friendly in traffic, you don't have as much weight spinning, but that might not be as bad on the LS motor, the computer helps keep it from stalling anyway. No such luck on my camaro! -> http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/vbp...?do=view&g=230

My c5 is getting due for a clutch and I can't make up my mind what to use- I don't think I'll do the LM series though just since that car is my driver of the fleet. (well, sunny day driver)

Can't comment on the LMC, but I've got a dual-friction on my 2000 C5 (with an LS6 replacement engine) and I'm very happy with it. Feels like the day I bought it, even after several HPDEs and autocrosses.

Sorry for such a long delay, but I wanted to thank you both for the additional information!!

It looks like the Centerforce LMC is going in! My current pressure plate is what was found to be damaged (at least 3 cracks in it--maybe crash related?) but it seems you can only buy the complete assembly (flywheel, clutch disc, and pressure plate)?

The crash happened last year and after attempting an at home fix, I finally (and very fortunately!!) am having Ray and Black Dog Racing out of Chi do the fix (and more--but I'll talk about that later) and they are the ones that found the pressure plate problem.

Thanks again for the feedback (and data on the Camero--won't let me look at the big pics of it w/o signing in)

I have that same clutch in the car in my avatar and it is working beautifully. You do need some more juice to get started than I did before but it returns the favour by whirling up more quickly. I took 30 pounds out of my RM with the lighter flywheel! Happy so far...
