Default Some interesting pix from the past couple of weeks...

From our NASA race at Road Atlanta a couple of weeks ago:

3 of these IMSA Lite cars participated in our sprint races in Sat & Sunday. Faster the hell.

2 of these Ford GT from the ALMS GT2 series raced with us, too:

These are from a friend's race shop.

Here's a dirt track car skeleton ready for assembly. There's one they have at the shop that has a DEI motor in it. The motor is a DEI development motor that costs ~$100,000 and produces ~900 hp. with over 800 FT. LBs of torque and it's carburated.

Here's a drag car in the shop that is getting its motor changed:

Thanks, Jody - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!.
Love the pics....there's something about builds.

I think it says a lot about the skill level of NASA drivers that someone would run the IMSAs and Ford GTs with you guys.

Doggone, Randy, if I had something like that I wouldn't make it to turn one when the green flag dropped.

When I did the Chinn RA event, this car was there along with a psycadelic Porsche. At the end of the day, they had an hour of open track that everyone could participate in. The Ford passed me so fast it scared me, and then when I caught my breath, the Porsche passed me the same way. It is a whole different league. In the 15 mins I was out there, the Ford passed me 2 times - man was he fast:o.

I put a GT-Lite and an ALMS Ford GT on my Christmas list just in case. But, come to think of it... I haven't been very good this year, so I'd better not hold my breath.

Thanks for sharing Jody - cool pics! Have a very Merry Xmas!

Thanks for the pics and the memories of a great event.

At the Chin event they had several drivers or were bedding brakes or something in the Ford GT since on some sessions we could keep pace or pass the car and on others we wondered who was that masked man!

Overall, NASA-SE does have an excellent set of drivers, and Jody.....

Same thing at Mid-Ohio with Chin, they have 3 drivers 2 are the team owners (husband and wife) and the third is the paid driver. You definatly know if the pro is in the car. Neat car and people, that thing sounds just wicked out on the track.

That looks a lot like a C or D sports racer.
Those cars are about 16 seconds a lap faster than a top T1 car at my track (portland international raceway).

I wonder if they will come play with us in Feb at VIR. Speaking of that, are you going to be there Mr Chief Monkey Spanker in Charge? I will be there attending the destructor ...I mean instructor clinic. The usual gang of suspects will be on the hill.

Hey Bob,

Yea, I'll be there. Those guys were at Road Atlanta for the Friday 8-hour Enduro and stayed for the weekend races. I don't know if they'll be at VIR.

You'll really like the NASA instructor clinic. I got a lot out of it.

See you there.
