70's Greenwood type Corvette & ex 80's Camel GT Camaro F/S
Vintage Greenwood Body Corvette and Mid 80's Tube Camaro
I received a call from a cousin of Jorge and Javier Garcia from Miami regarding a couple of old IMSA cars that they wish to sell. The Garcia Brothers were prominent Camel GT racers in the 70's and Javier at one time owned and competed with one of the "real" Greenwood cars.
Jorge recently passed away and his widow would like to get rid of a 70's style Greenwood Corvette built on a Vette Chassis (not a Greenwood built car). Also, they have a mid 80's tube frame Camaro. Reportedly both cars have extensive history racing at Daytona, Sebring, and in Central America.
Cousin George stated that the Corvette is a disassembled roller and was not sure of the condition of the Camaro. Both cars are stored in a warehouse in Homestead.
I think the price on these cars could be very reasonable.
If restoring Camel GT era racers is up your alley give George a call at 305 634 9807.
I do have a couple of pics of the cars "back in the day" that were sent to me, email me at bosco022022@yahoodotcom and I will forward.

There are a lot of great vintage C3 racers out there. Big block widebodies with history are relatively few and far between and Group 10 is not for the faint of heart. The first thing to look at is upgrading safety equipment.
George Krass in Illinois has a great DeLorenzo Vette available running a Donovan big block if anyone is looking

I am pretty sure that Tony never drove George's car and it was also never really a widebody. It is nice though, however it is prob no longer a widebody either as he is putting the 73 body back on it and making it bad to the way that it was. He had it bodied like Rich Sloma's green Corvette.
The Garcia Corvette was a stock framed car that had a greenwood wide body on it. It ran the 12 hours and several other IMSA events as well as some events in the Americas. It was totally a part, basically a frame, cage, and body.
