Default NEED HELP!!!...Best Size Heat Exchanger for C5Z Diff Cooler???

I've been driving with a noisy diff for a while, but while running good at a recent track day a message message appeared on my DIC that read "Transmission Temperature 279*". The next and last session while driving better and faster the message read "Transmission Hot" so I pulled off to let things cool before I drove home. I changed my fluids the prior day but after asking a few knowledgeable people most agreed that the heat from my bad diff was probably causing the tranny temps to rise. So I ordered a RPM C5 diff with the fluid pump built in (C6Z). Now I am looking for advice on the best size heat exchanger to install behind the brake ducts similar to the units on the LG & DR systems. Can someone tell me the best size (largest I can fit) that will not cause any clearance issues. When the tranny is rebuilt I will have the C6Z from pump installed as well and plumb another heat exchanger on the opposite side rear brake duct as well. All information and pictures will be very much appreciated

The setrabs like used in the LG kits should fit where you want them.

On Setrab's website they had a selection of sizes to choose from. I'm trying to piece this together, does anyone know the size of the cooler LG uses?

50-910-7612 is the setrab number I believe. They measure about 16" across the mounting tabs and 3" tall

Thank You Very Much

It appears to be listed under Setrab number 910 on the link below, is that the one you have?. Do you think there is room to go 4" tall? Do you have any pictures of your install? Thanks Again

Go to the bottom of the page and click the SETRAB button

That looks like them. I have bought from BAT before also. Good guys. Not sure on room to go 4". The ones I did are mounted on what was the trunk floor, then ducted out of the license plate area. So not quite the same as what you are thinking. If you put them in front of the wheel wells, you will have to shield them from rocks that the tires will throw at them. You can make a simple template to check for room and don't forget to allow for the fittings.

10-4, I was planning to keep the fender liner & drilling holes with stainless wire mesh riveted to the liner over the holes for protection yet still allow flow through. I like the template idea, thanks for the help
