Default More NASA Nationals in-car.....Inside the blue rocket

After seeing everyone post their video from the NASA Nationals, I became motivated to figure out this video down load/ you tube thing . It was not as hard as I thought so presto this is the first in-car video that I have ever posted.

This clip is from the Saturday quaifying race , after it dried out. I started on the tail of the field due to a penalty during qualifying. We had a great battle with Aaron for a couple of laps and then I set my sights on the SU cars......even got to the overall leader from around 20th on the grid. We ran the fastest lap of the race on lap 5 I believe, after I got around Aaron. Keep in mind that I was still truning lap times two seconds slower than we can go......trying to manage tires you know.

Anyhow enjoy ................The audio from an ST1 car is almost as sweet as LG's WCGT in car

1st in class and 2nd overall.....WOW! Very nice driving....

You need a RAFT sticker on the dash for all your videos.

Nice job. Congrats.

Danny,

There appears to be a technical problem with your video. Every time I watched it, it seemed to be running in fast-forward.

Nicely done!!

That was very impressive, I cringed about 100 times when I thought you were going to hit the Pfadt car.

Nice driving Danny. I love the way you exploit the inside of the turns at China Beach and Thunder Valley.

No, that wasn't angry at all....that was tire management. You should see what a TT lap looks like.......Lots more tire noise, car rarely straight on a corner exit and lap times 2.5 seconds faster than what is in that video. During a W2W race there is "controlled" aggression, during a TT lap it is chaos.....

Soft hands ???? Like my soft right foot , huh

I was running the same 3.42 rear gear that you were Wally....but I can turn an extra 1,000 rpm than you which makes a conciderable difference. Aaron was pulling more gear than I and he would pull me slightly on the corner exits, especially when I was trying not to hit his car. I think he was running a 3.90 or 4.10 and using 5th on the straights. My little ( in comparison) motor could use better trans gearing or pull more gear like Aaron, but we ran out of time. I was truly still testing @ Nationals in many, many ways. (like bonding my wing together the first day there and having a wing on the car for the first time)

Great stuff Mr. Popp!

Loved the double sided Porsche pass!

At the 8:18 mark what kind of driving line was that (Blue car)?
