I watched that live with my own eyes. I was too young to be in the pits, so they gave my mom, brother and I radios and put us in a corner. What a wild ride that was. The car took the hit pretty damn good!!! From memory, the wheel that came off still had the hub on it.

Does anybody have video of these old races? It would be so cool to find footage of both the Corvette Challenge and the World Challenge series when these cars were running.

John Powell has every race on VHS. Im not sure if he is willing to let them go or not. I know someone was trying to purchase them, but that was a while ago.

A few years back (1999), there was a three tape set of Corvette Challenge events from '88-'89. I have had them transferred to DVD. All the televised shows are on them. I think only one race from 88, and all the races from 89. PM me. Maybe we can find a copy.

I recently purchased and am restoring to race the 1989 #8 Car of Sean Roe "Spirit of Jacksonville. I'd love to get some footage of the car in action. Let me know the Cost, I'll cover my part. Thanks
