hardbar dual rate Penske coilovers = WOW
Just WOW. I cannot believe how much I love these coilovers. This is the first time I was back at WGI since I had them installed. For the most I was at new tracks and although I knew they felt good I had nothing to compare them too until this week.
At WGI I had some issues with my old coilovers not absorbing the rumble strips to my liking. If it was up to me I would cut straight across them with all 4 tires like I see them do in Europe, but WGI flag stations frown on that so I cut back to taking a good chunk of them with only 2 tires (Hell turn one has all that extra pavement on the other side of the gators for a reason ).
This was not the case with the new setup. Heck I think I could of been drinking tea going over them that is how smooth they felt. More importantly though the car was not jarred and stayed 100% on track to where I was pointing it. This was a huge confidence builder and each lap I increased my speed into and around the chicane and then into turn 5.
Thanks Gary for another great product.

Hey John I was not timing myself since it was a HPDE. I ran Hoosiers R6 like I normally do. Temps were cold 40 degrees and sunny. My focus point was around the chicane and turn 5 where I had issues in the past.
I know I was up a few mph in that area which I was happy about. I am sure there is much more room, but my right front tire just started showing signs of cording so I didnt push it as much as I could have.
Honestly even if my mhp were the same the confidence I felt with the Penske setup will only build my speeds in the long term.
I will be back next year and take some lap times. To date best lap time was on kumhos, c6 shocks and my old 346 h/c setup.

Real data has no place on this site My air foil made may C4 feel faster also.
J/K I'm also considering getting Coils for my Penske, a few MPH = like 3 seconds at Mid-O, I sure could use that.

usually I have more data to share and usually I dont say SOTP because frankly SOTP means nothing to me - quicker lap times do, but in this case I think confidence in my setup automatically equates to faster lap times and thus I dont have to time it to know that.

I am using Penske 8760 3 way shocks with the dual rate coilover.
My spring rates is the standard setup that Gary sends out. I made no changes except adjust 2 settings so that the turn in was more crisp. I use crisp meaning less flex at turn in. I personally like the feeling the suspension is real tight on turn in. Some people do not like this feeling.
I am though slowly backing it off just to see what it is like. Since it is a simple click to make adjustments I continue to play with them.
