Making the Panoz fast over the winter... some go-fast goodies.
Collecting all the parts to turn the 240hp slug of a 5.0 into a 400 horse screamer. Going with a AFR 165 based package from Ed Curtis at Flowtech Induction (5.0 guru). Also ditching the EFI and switching to a carb setup using a ported Edelbrock performer RPM manifold and a pro-systems carb.
The AFRs were waiting for me when I got back from VIR on Sunday night.
Cam and other goodies.
Composite valve covers came in today w/ breathers
320 rwhp in a 2700lb car should perform quite well.

5.0 and fast in the same sentence... uhhh, they are complete OPPOSITES! The car is light, so you'll be just fine! Make sure that you install the anti-RAFT force-field tape. Any collisions with RAFT vehicles could be cause for gang intervention.

I would have suggested the 185's. I've used them on a couple motors. Both sets had custom machine work, but they do work well out of the box. However, replace the valvesprings if they are factory AFR. I had a very high dollar motor destroyed because AFR was installing junk in the valvetrain. They did give me new heads, but that didn't pay for the $2500 crank or other high dollar parts as well as a waste of a season of racing. If you can't get WELL over 350rwhp without a restrictor on your motor you need a new motor builder. Its pretty easy to make near 400rwhp with those heads.
