Default Will C5 jacking pucks work on C6Z?

I will be racing this weekend with my new car but I haven't gotten underneath it yet.

Don't know what kind of jacking pucks you have - fixed lug depth or adjustable ... the C6Z frame is slightly thicker ... I have made jacking puck sets, most recently with "eye" bolts screwed into hockey pucks ... they can be backed out slightly to fit snugly in a C6Z frame.

Depends on what brand, the billet alum one I got are too thick in the "key" to fit c6, but some are "universal".

mine fit, but you just can't twist them to make them stay in.

You don't need the pucks if you're just using your own jack. Just make sure the contact point is on metal only. You can jack the entire side of the car from the front jacking point, enabling you to change both the front and the rear for one side.

I've done over 30 days of racing in my Z over the past year and have never used a puck.

I checked it out tonight and I see what you guys are saying. I am going to turn the pucks on a lathe to increase the gap between the holding lug and the surface that makes contact. with the frame rail.

Thanks gang!

c6z frame is thicker aluminum so they usually don't fit.

That should work.

As others have said - No, they don't fit. The neck is to short.

The benefit of having a puck that you can turn so that it stays in place, is that you don't risk pinching your fingers or stretching your back while holding the puck in place and jacking at the same time.
- Don't ask how I know

When changing tires often, I found that the BMW permanent pucks are very convenient. They snap in and stay on. Just need one in each front location.

Ditto. I have the billet aluminum ones for my C5Z, and they wouldn't fit into the holes on my friend's C6Z.

Thanks
There are two slots on each side - nothing up front or back. I lift using the sides or the cross members front/rear and a piece of wood.
- they are pretty much at the end of the doors. You should feel that the side skirt/piece is missing just around the slot.
