Read today that Jim Julow is leaving as of Feb 2009. Reasons given were because the BOD and himself disagreed on which direction the club needs to go to prosper. Let's see, how many presidents have we had in the last 10yrs? Maybe the BOD could be the problem and why SCCA is still the Secret Car Club of America?

Good luck to whomever is stupid enough to take that job.
I've been a member of the SCCA my entire adult life, and ALWAYS question whether I should bother to renew my membership each year. It's got to be one of the most politically-driven, supposedly 'Member-owned' organizations anywhere.
NASA wouldn't even exist if the SCCA didn't have it's head stuck so solidly up it's own ***...

what I wrote in the thread in OT:
A chimpanzee with Down's Syndrome could run the SCCA better than the board does.
The president has basically no power.
I thought electing some club racers to the board might help things, but it just gets worse and worse every year.
I would like to see complete replacement of the CRB more than anything though.
