C4 guys: toe rods to go with your trailing arms & camber rods
The trailing arms and camber rods have been shown in another thread.
But now there are toe rods to go along with it.
These images show the kit without the safety plate for clarity
With the safety plate in place
The indexing features on the back of the batwing bracket
On the knuckle side a high strength 17-4 PH Stainless Steel adapter attaches the rod to the knuckle.
Without the safety washer for clarity.
With the safety washer in place

There's a heap of binding in a stock C4 suspension.
Too many links with bushed ends that really more in more than 1 plane.
Here's my stock suspension at full droop.
See all the bulges in the bushings?

I had a number of requests for it however after I introduced the trailing arms and camber rods so I tried to supply what my customers wanted.
IMHO, it does offer easier maintenance in the long run as it is much easier to replace any worn components than the stock setup as you don't have to buy a whole sub-assembly. I also like that there is no need to grease the rear suspension any longer.

Friction in a suspension system is never good. Many people think of it like a form of damping but it is to be avoided at all costs. Friction makes the car "darty" and have poor compliance over small ripple bumps. Also, the precision of this as opposed to the OE keeps the tires pointed in the desired direction and not only makes the car less twitchy, but increases tire life. Chris Ingle has a video of his C5 rear suspension under load and it is amazing how much the rubber suspension moves around under load. A C4 has even more "opportunities' to move around.

I just combed through that and noticed. Shucks. It'd be nice to put down some power sometime, the wide as hell tires do help though. Maybe sm2 is in the future afterall....
