Nasa Oct 11-12... ie the corvette show
I'm going to post more when I get more sleep, and when I'm a little more sober but i figured I'd post up about my weekend. Wednesday night Wally came over and helped me button up my recent head gasket replacement. I fired the car up and it looked good for the weekend. During my oil cooler install I removed the front radiator air scoop and forgot to put it back on the car. Wally noticed this at the track and After a session it was clear tha that little piece of plastic was needed. Jack, Mike, and the rest of the "over the hill gang" helped me out with some metal and within 30 minutes I had a ghetto (should i say wally style?) fabed splitter that worked wonders. The car never got past 210 degrees running ***** to the wall. The saturday started with yours truly on pole but wally (starting 2nd) got a great start and pretty much held the lead all race. We ran nose to tail and a lot of spectators commented on how close it was. I ended up second to wally, which is not terrible. His mid range power made him pull car lengths on me on the straights... but he was still sorting out his new fansy suspension. In the corners he was mine, but he drove a great defensive line.
Sunday was pretty much a repeat and without further text here are some pictures...
Wally and I ran this close all weekend
ghetto fabbed cooling splitter... worked like a charm!
I was in the dirt several times this weekend... stupid CMC cars...
I want to thank Pfadt Engineering for their setup advice and their contingency, PTuning for their alignment, TravisTrussell.com
for the pictures, Wally for his help getting the car back together, and Corvetteforum.com for setting my head straight while I was tearing apart the motor!!!

As soon as i get more power, you better be in the 1:19's or I'll be catching you again
still we were running consistent Low 1:21's in the race... which was nose to tail the whole time. There were a few times I though my tow hook was going to go though that nice red bumper

Surface is holding up pretty well... a bazillion times better than before. They did put down new sealer on top of the new areas before our event which might explain why laptimes didnt drop as much as we'd thought they would.
Last event when it was super bumpy, I was turning 1:21.3s on sticker Hoosiers. This time the best I could muster was a 1:21.0 on 7HC Hoosiers. <shrug>
Here is my moment from the weekend:
