Default Summit Point Main: Ferrari HPDE 17, 18 & 19 October!

Ferrari of Washington DC is hosting a 3-day HPDE at Summit Point Raceway Main Circuit. You can choose one, two or all three days! They are looking for more participants.

I plan to go on the 18th. Who else is coming out? Lets have fun with the Ferrari's! Contact: Redding Finney at rfinney@fwash.com or 703-478-3606.

Looks like a lot of fun - complete with food and drinks.

I will be there working grid inspections and gridding the run groups.

Maybe get the little old C4 out on Sat afternoon.

I will be real easy to locate. I will be the guy with the FoW shirt and Corvette hat.

I will be there on Friday, but I will be driving my boss's F430 instead of the Vette. Taking a trip to the dark side - really want to see how the paddle shift tranny works. 40 microsecond shifts up or down with rev matching is going to be interesting. Carbon ceramic brakes also, so it will probably stop pretty well too. Doing the NVCC spook on the Jefferson the 18-19th.

Have you guys run with this group before? Do they run a pretty safe event or are they a little more relaxed? I've heard good things lately.

One of the best run HPDEs at Summit Point, and I've been to a ton of different ones over the past 10 years. I've done 3 of the FoW events so far, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself every single time. They run excellent class rooms, and keep the driving safe and fast.

I'll be there for all 3 days; I'm starting to be considered an FoW "regular".

Agreed! I've done multiple events with them with different cars and have always been treated well. I'll be there with my Vette on either Friday or Sunday.

I spoke with Redding and adjusted my registration for the RED group since I usually run in Red/Advanced (HPDE 4) with NASA and other clubs. Also added Friday for my 2nd day - Curtis, Lee and Jason, see you there. Mike

What's the condition of Summit Main track? I haven't been there since July and lost the bubble on any fixes they might have made since then. ... :ity:
BTW ... I'll be doing the Spook on Jefferson Sat/Sun ... so I'll be "watching from afar" between heats ...

Denny, I was there last Sunday and the track looked really good. Appears to be holding up much better with the latest re-paving. I will be there this Friday and Saturday - stopping by Jefferson to say Hi.

It is. I did a FATT last Friday, and my write-up is here:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=2155423

There are 3 videos in the write-up. You can see the wonderful repair job they did to 1, 5, and the carousel. Now they just need to keep an eye on 3...

Crap, sounds like fun but I just signed up for SPOOK too! Good fun and people and this event for the past 11 years.

I will make it a point to stop over on your side and say hi when I come to get race fuel for the T1 car.

See you all soon,

Why would you want to run with some F cars. When you could be testing your skills at a corvette time trial event. Would you want to know how you stack up against other corvettes.

If Skip and the rest of the Ferrari racing team is there, no Corvette will be outrunning them in the Red Group. Been there, done that, got the paint peeled off my car as they went by me in a blur. :-)

Mike,

I'll be out there on Sunday in the Blue group. Add Sunday to your schedule and I'll get a chance to chase you since both red and blue will be on track together for the last session.

The only way I will catch him is if he hits traffic.
