I decided pretty early in the year that I didn't feel like going back to Heartland Park in October. The track isn't my favorite, the haul from the east-coast is long, and the weather is often cold and wet this time of year.
When they announced Road America for the Runoffs next year, that pretty much iced-it for me to save the effort.
Plus with the price of gas, and the general state of the economy, I feel better saving the money for next year's season...
I hope that everyone that did make the trip is having a fun safe race-week, though!

Melting Slicks
There are actually four LS3s - me, both Tracys and McGinley. Tracy Jr. detonated his though during the test day, so his dad is going to the C5 and giving the kid his LS3...see?
AJ and Buttermore (after detonating and replacing his engine) are LS2s. DiPippo is also in an LS2...and there may be others.
I think Joe was just talking about the folks that went out in the rain and was not listing the totals of who are here.

long day today and an exciting T-1 qualifying session...
Ed Z laid dowm the first fast lap. andy countered, Ed z then went faster ....
Andy said ok, lets try something different and came in for 4 new tires... And set the pole time... ed and scott both came in and ed got tires but did not do another fast time...
These two ferraris are beautiful and have the coolest wail going up pit straight!!! Its pure sound heaven!!!
Anyway, final qualifying is Thursday, so more details then!!!
