Default what is minimum thickness for C6Z Rotors?

I need the specs for when to replace rotors. I've done a couple events on them, (but I use HP+ and am a fairly gentle braker), and I will be swapping back to my street pads in the next couple days, so its a good time to measure them.

TIA!

It is probably cast into it, I think it is a DOT regulation. Look inside the rotor.

good idea! I will when I take the wheels off, but was hoping to be able to do it on the car before I get started. I might just buy new ones anyways though, as I will be needing them eventually.

I had looked in my 2006 service manual last night, but there's only one chart for rotor specs. I had thought that maybe it was because it was the first year for the Z06, but later on it has info on replacing brake pads and calipers for the JL9 and J55 (I think those are the RPO's for the base and Z51 brakes), and then separate info on working on the J56 (Z06) brakes.

Well....I have DBA 4000 rotors, so I went to their website to look up the specs, and it appears the base/Z51/Z06 rotors are all the same thickness.

The service manual doesn't differentiate between any of the rotors as far as runout, thickness variation, etc., and it says
New Thickness Front - 32 mm / 1.26 inches
Rotor Discard Thickness Front - 30.3 mm / 1.19 inches

New Thickness Rear - 26 mm / 1.02 inches
Rotor Discard Thickness Rear - 24.5 mm / 0.965 inches

The DBA website has these specs:
New Thickness Front - 1.26 inches
Rotor Discard Thickness Front - 1.18 inches

New Thickness Rear - 1.02 inches
Rotor Discard Thickness Rear - 0.94 inches

So.....I think that verifies that all the C6 rotors are the same thickness and are just different in diameter.

Although DBA says their rotors can be run to slightly less thickness, for your OE rotors it appears the min thickness acceptable is 1.19 inches for the fronts, and 0.965 inches for the rears.

At least that's what I come up with after some research.

2 Events with HP+ and your worried about thickness? I wouldn't waste your time. I have rotors that are 2 years old with 15 events (rear) with race pads, and I will continue to run them until the crack (street or track)
