We had to call around a little last week towing a trailer to Nashville. Never really put us in a bind, but we didn't do as much driving around the city as we'd planned on. All of TN is in pretty good shape now, but I think ATL is still having problems.

Something about some pipe that service the southeast. The hurricane hurt something that services the southeast and so for about a week and a half no one had gas and the few that did had ten cars in line at each pump. Now everyone seems to have 87 but none of the big names (BP, exxon, shell, mapco etc) have premium. Found some at kroger though. I heard Georgia is still pretty much dry though.

They were having problems in Atlanta when I flew in last Friday and even here by the track with a lot of stations out. The Pilot station in braselton on the way to the track seems to have fuel, but the lines are crazy long.

Seems It's best to get it really early before rush hour or late late evenening. Hope they have enough fuel for our rental car to get back to Atlanta.

I could not find Premium in Little Rock on Friday.
A few stations ran out, no lines like in Atlanta though.
Driving to Road Atlanta on Friday this week. Won't let tank get below 1/2.
Hopefully we will see some relief next week.

Atlanta is a mess. no gas!!! I mean literally no gas. Its so bad, people sit out side the distribution station and follow tankers to gas stations.
police have been called to break up fights. 911 has been swamped with people who have run out of gas.
we get our gas pumped up from the coast thru the colonial pipeline and then distibute by truck within our own state. it takes 5 days to get here from the coast....that is when they have product. right now they are processing and we should have fuel sometime next week.
I was in florida on friday...300 miles from my house in atlanta...not only did they have plenty of gas...but it was $1.00 cheaper per gallon.
Kinda makes you wonder wtf is going on!!!!

The Charlotte area is running short.

If the gas guys were allowed to charge what the market would bear, the shortage would disappear.

Yep, no problem in Florida. Gas is $3.58 at its lowest for 87 octane. I'm pretty sure our gasoline comes from the Bahama's refinery to Port Canaveral for Central Florida and Port Everglades for South Florida. An article in our paper today said the rest of the SE gets theirs from the pipeline and it flows at 5 mph, meaning it would take up to 10 days to go from the refinery to Georgia, Tennessee or the Carolina's.

We were at Barber 2 weeks ago when the Ike hit TX. Local radio station said there may be a gas shortage Friday night, and 2 hours later, the local gas pumps were out. Plenty of Diesel, so we were pumping diesel in our tow trucks and people went into the stores and got ugly with the clerks claiming some people were getting gas. I tried telling them it was diesel we were getting but they wouldn't listen and still wanted to kick the crap out of the poor $8/hr clerk. Got ugly real quick.

Was out this morning N Raleigh and did fill up. Not one station had bags over the pumps, or said out of gas.

So far not on the NE side of Raleigh / Wake Forrest.

Local news had a story how it is spreading though the area now. Some high volume stations are effected more then others.

Wonder if going near the Greensboro or Selma Colonial terminals would be different?

About 1 station out of 12 has gas and it's only regular... Even that, the lines back up all the way to the streets to get into the gas stations. Premium is extremely hard to find. I noticed even the auto parts stores are out of the various octane booster stuff. I'm running a mix of premium and regular in my daily driver and hope it'll last me for a bit. It requires premium.

Crazy......

Yep, we are in a really bad situation. I ran low on fuel in the vette Friday before last and have not been able to fill. This weekend couldn't find any gas without horrible lines. Scored monday morning and filled the truck. I am now in Mexico, and plenty of 3$ gas here.

Bad in Nashville too. We had no gas for almost a week. Even now we only have regular.

The weekend before last we had 2.5 hour long lines with police escorts to make sure everyone played nice.

Had a helluva time gassing up the rental car at DFW on Friday.

I also heard some folks in Crawford mention that they expected weekend shortages...

Scary stuff...

Mooresville, Huntersville area is having issues. The closer you get to Charlotte, the worse it gets...reminds me of "Mad Max", and "Road Warrior"

...ok, maybe it's not that bad yet.
