NJMP - GROUP TRACK PURCHASE - Thur 10/16 NJMP Thunderbolt
Corvette Forum Members,
I am happy to announce that I am able to offer another Group Track purchase with Track Time 4 Cars. This time we will be running the THUNDERBOLT course at NJMP on Thursday, October 16th. The only caviat is that we need a minimum of 10 cars to receive the discount. The cost for the event will again be a VERY low $220 per driver. I am hoping with NJMP being a new high profile track that we can fill that requirement easily. If you look at the clubs running at NJMP, you will NOT find another club that running at this LOW of cost with such an abundant amount of track time. Most clubs are charging a premium for the new track, so that is another advantage I am able to pass along to the forum.
I have confirmed that we will be running 3 run groups throughout the entire day. Each session is approximately 20 minutes long (standard). There will be 2 bike groups and 1 car group. The event is open to all level's of driver experience, but is geared more towards open track time than an actual school environment. We will run every hour, so you are easily looking at 6-8 sessions vs. the standard 4-5 sessions with other clubs.
You would be hard pressed to find more track time at such a low cost. Also, if you have any reservations about the club, I think many of the positive comments left by the group that ran with us at Pocono will eleviate any concerns.
IF you are interested in attending this event at THUNDERBOLT, please either send me an IM or e-mail (g5x3z06@comcast.net). Do not register on their website or you will not receive the discount. The deadline for registration is Sept 30th.
Please also pass this along to any other forum or non-Corvette groups that you feel may have interest. Again, there will be a limit on the number of cars allowed, so don't wait till the last minute.
Thanks,
95Jersey (Matt)

No, TT4CARS has allotted me 10 cars above their direct customers. I am not sure what the max is, but I have never been to a TT4Cars event that has been overcrowded.

No - I believe Matt is saying for everyone to get a discount he needs at least 10 cars to sign up. TT4Cars has their own sign-up which will mean more cars on the track. I do not know their max count.

We will run 20 minute sessions with 3 run groups (2 motorcycle and 1 car). So if we start on time at 9am and end at 5:30pm, if all goes well, we could get 7-8 session (for just the cars). Even if there are problems and the track needs to get shut down for some reason, you would still see 5-7 sessions which is far better than the 4 sessions a typical track day offers.
If you need any further clarification, please IM or e-mail me and I will be glad to answer your questions. I will not be collecting money until I am sure I have enough interest. So I will take your contact info and on the 20th contact you for payment in 10 days. If we are a few cars under the minimum, that will be OK, we just can't have 4 or 5 cars and expect the discount.
This is the beauty of the forum, to LEVERAGE our buying power with vendors and other track organizers. So PLEASE take advantage. This IS NJMP we are talking about, I am amazed we are not 110% full already.

especially with mixed types of cars and driver levels, I got stuck in a lower run group at LRP last time as it was my first time with SCDA and almost stuffed into the back of a couple Loti (multiple slow lotus's)

I am working on getting the total amount of cars that will be allowed at the event and will post that the moment it becomes available. I will say that I have now run with TT4Cars twice and crowding was never an issue, if not the exact opposite is true.
And to say that a Miata and a Corvette can't be in the same run group is ridiculous. I have run with ALL the NE HPDE groups, and they put people in run groups based on experience NOT the kind of car you drive. I have seen Miata guys eat up novice/intermediate Corvette drivers. The experienced Miata guy knows his car is slow and is prepared for fast cars in his rear view mirror.
So, be CONFIDENT that if you register for this event, it WILL NOT be overcrowded. I also stated in my original post this is not necessary a school environment and would not be the best place for a Novice or first timer. Groups like PDA run open track sessions with mixed levels all the time. It is common for an open track event to mix intermediate and advanced drivers, so this situation is no different.
So, if you want 7-8 sessions at NJMP for a very low cost and have some track experience, this is a great place for you to sign up.

Unfortunately, I was NOT able to get 10 cars, so the group purchase is no longer valid. If you want to still participate in this event, sign up directly with TT4Cars. I will still be there and looking forward to meeting anyone that can show up!
