I can't understand why the US GT-1 class is so tiny, In Europe there are many GT-1 makes and models running in that field. I think Corvette should go down to GT-2 and prepare a car that will smash the Ferrari's and Porsche's, Let's get rid of GT-1 altogether and focus on GT-2 or Build a P1 or P2 car.

Got my Corvette corral tickets and my motel all lined up.

Haven't missed one since my father and I started going in 2003.

This years battle between the R10s, 908s, and the Acuras and RS Spyders should be classic for the ages!

Can't wait.

They are. It's GT1 through Le Mans, then after the return trip back, GT2.

Same here; already to go.

Unfortunately, unless IMSA does something to restrict the Audi's like they did the Corvettes when A-M was still competing, they will win on courses that have long straights like Road Atlanta. The torque in those cars is absolutely killer and nothing can keep up with them.

But I do love the way they sound as they zooooooooooom past at 190 mph...

I agree but don't they just show up at Sebring to qualify for LeMans and then don't race the rest of the ALMS schedule?

No, they showed up at Sebring, because it is the toughest track and next to the 24 Hueres, it's the best test of a vehicle.

And just showing up at Sebring does not earn you the right to run at Le Mans.

Peugeot LMP1 cars are faster than Audi's LMP1 across the board but not as durable, if the weather isn't a factor and Peugeot shows I'm going with the Peugeot.
