Default Looking for recent vids or advice on the Glen??

I started looking at vids on youtube of the Glen to start visualizing the track and remember that is was closed recently for some track work. Does anyone have any recent vids of a run or 2 so I can see if any of the concrete lines (what I'm currently using as visual markers) have changed. Or can you tell me what they fixed?

Also, has anybody here done a write up of helpful hints of the turns etc.. I'll be at a 2 day event with PDA so I know I'll hav great instructors but as you know... advanced mental prep is a good thing.

Thanks all,
Steve

I have some vids of WGI that I can repost. I do have some at youtube account http://www.youtube.com/user/ECSRacingVette but they are mistakes in the chicane (so maybe a good thing to watch )

We did a write-up some time ago posted here

You can try Trackpedia ... right now the main page is hosed (for me), but the forum has track index and some videos posted.
... or google Watkins Glen Video and get a list.
I was there for two days with Phoenix CMR couple weeks ago ... all I can say is it is difficult to late apex turn 9! No turn camber to help and if you're early you'll have to feather it on track-out ...

Here are some videos from my time at the Glen last September - my at the track and first time running Hoosiers. I expect to turn faster lap times next year! The first video is a relatively clean 1 lap tour of the track, while the second video is with traffic. Mike

Thanks Mike.. These are really helpful as I want to "hear" and see how a vette is going in and out of the turns.

I know I know.... I should have multiquoted all these at the same time but I'm just going through them now. Chris, this is awesome. Ive printed out the input and Im combining it with the vids.. this is perfect guys.

We should have a sticky of all the tracks we go to and include this kind of info.. this is after all the road racing section.
