Damn, that looks like fun, but how come there is such a speed difference between some of the karts on the straight?

I used to race 125 shifters, swedtechs at 47hp...I can't imagine the super250's!

Driving Impressions has some Motorquality karting equipment on sale if anyone needs something for the event. www.teamdi.com

Wow, haven't seen a twin in a loooong time. Hope you have a strong neck running a laydown.

I made it thru 10 years running sprint superstock and 125 shifters on the left coast, Sears Point, etc. Always wanted to run Daytona.

The 250 Superkarts are fast. Back in the 80's we had an Unlimited class out here, 300cc twin Rotax w/110 HP, 485lbs. with driver. They actually had seatbelts because they were so violent. They could barely get a set of rear tires to last thru a race.

I know Don just enough to say Hi. He's been around forever, ran with Southern California Karters. I was with Northern California Karters.

I still play with the 125 on the local sprint track. I prefer having the roll cage and belts on the big tracks these days. It's a little more comfortable. I roadraced with IKF for 10 years, took 5 regional championships.
