Default NASA Nationals Main Information Thread

Let's use this thread to coordinate everyone who will be at Nationals at Mid-Ohio in September.

We'll be pulling out of Salt Lake on Sunday the 7th and arriving at Mid-Ohio on Tuesday the 9th in the evening. We plan on running the practice day on Wednesday.

We reserved space in the middle paddock and would like to have as many of the Corvette competitors as possible in our area. We'll get set up as quickly as we can on Tuesday evening, so just look for our flag and trailer.

We've also been talking to Kevin Mixon about having a cook out one night. I don't know if the NASA regions are planning any hospitality, so stay tuned and we'll let you know the day. Much to Robbin's dismay, it will likely be burgers, brats and beer, rather than a proper sit down dinner.

Most importantly, we are offering added incentives to our contingency program!

Pfadt Race Engineering Offers $20,000 in Gift Certificate Rewards

RICHMOND, CA – July 31, 2008. The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Pfadt Race Engineering will offer nearly $20,000 in gift certificate rewards to the top finishers at the 3rd annual NASA Championship event at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course on September 11-14th, 2008.

Robbin Pfadt, Pfadt Race Engineering CFO said, "We’re excited to be a part of the NASA Championships for 2008. Coupled with our regional contingency awards, this program should provide a lucrative award to the competitors that choose to compete under the Pfadt Engineering Racing Team banner. We look forward to seeing everyone at the event and you can come and visit us in the paddock!"

The award program will apply to all competitors competing in a Corvette at the NASA Championship event. Any competitor that scores points racing a Corvette during the weekend will be eligible for at least $50 in Pfadt Cash regardless of finishing position which can be used for any products or consumables on the Pfadt website.

The contingency program will award drivers a “Pfadt cash” gift certificate in the amounts of $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place if there are five or more starters in their class. Applicants must be a registered member of the Pfadt Racing Team prior to competing for contingency rewards. Joining the team is easy and details are available by visiting www.pfadtracing.com or by calling 888-972-2464.
We look forward to seeing you all in Ohio.

I'm gonna be there. No money for a paved spot, so I'll be out in the grass

I'll be coming in on wednesday evening. I'm really looking forward to it.

You know, I actually prefer being out in the grass. It is cooler, quieter and it adds to the "park-like" feel.

No, I bring my own. I have a generator and air/heat in my trailer. Almost like home. Next thing for me to get is a satellite TV and a DSL card for my computer...

Not at Nationals, that whole field is full & hope it doesn't rain. Changing tires in the mud is no fun.

Being far away sucks less when you have a matching golf cart to ride around in. Hoofing it gets old fast since they don't allow bikes.

He he he he, matching golf cart...

I have three 4X8' sheets of heavy painted plywood to lay down on the ground, plus a 20X20 canopy (and maybe a second one) to cover the area. I am also buying indoor/outdoor carpeting to lay down on the ground, all done to make the environment more pleasureable. The trailer w/power and air really makes a difference. Remember, this isn't my first rodeo at Mid Ohio.

BTW, if you paddock near me, you can borrow the golf cart. Trust me, that bugger gets a lot of use at the track, and not all by me.

For our paddock space, Pfadt Racing Team Members can park in the paddock for beer. Anyone else interested in parking with us can score a spot for $50 for the weekend.

Team members get dibs, so please let us know!

As for mooching power (or pretty much anything else) you're more than welcome!
