According to the ATEQ website it's completely universal and will trigger all sensors out there.
Another forum member that has one says he got one and ATEQ reports: "It is a two button unit. The left button is for Schrader/Siemens TPMS's and the right button is for Lite-on/Beru/TRW/Pacific/Lear TPMS's."
In that case the left button is the one that would trigger our C6 sensors.
It apparently, however, CANNOT be upgraded. Most of the higher end tools that will work with all sensors have an upgrade capability so new software can be uploaded when new sensor communication protocols come out in the future.
But, the price is right!

These guys are just up the street from Bartec. I bought the C6 tool from them. I forget how much I paid, but it's worked flawlessly for me outside of a failed sensor...

Well....I don't know. It depends on what you're looking for in a tool.
I'm sure all their tools work great. The only ATEQ I've used is the VT50, but it's very expensive. Their literature says the VT40 can be upgraded, but it's almost 300 bucks.
The VT10 is the cheapest ATEQ (actually the cheapest of any sensor reset tool that I know of, new or used), and it's reported to be universal but not upgradeable.

I got the Ateq VT50 from BEZ06 and its a great tool. Bob sold it to me at a great price. I've used this tool on a number of different cars and it never fails. It does gobble up 9V batteries however.
