Here is the new track, in kinda beta mode. I'm sure sometime soon it will be raced on!!! No more worries about how fast 1 and 2 are. Or better yet how close the trees are.

This is great news for the racers from the midwest! Roadrace as they are drag racing, plus no more spinning tires down the straight in the wet.

That track will be fun when it is finished. They do have some safety issues to address, trees are much too close in several locations. that concrete wall on about the third turn on the new asphalt will be a car eater if it is permanent. It makes me pucker even at the slow speed in the video.

This isn't in a vette but gives you a idea of the speed.

The wall is a little crazy, but I don't think it's a huge ordeal. "anybody have a spare right side" I watched the video tonight at home with the speakers. They are all messed up on pit out and in. It's smooth like glass and well designed. The new owners are part time roadracers and full time business people. I also just saw that we are having a Icerace there this winter

The new short course looks like fun, but I'm going to miss the 5000 foot main straight and banked turn 1 speeds.

One little tip, make sure you have oil pressure at the end of the never ending right hander off the old track.
