Default Is anybody else using "J" compound Wilwood pads?

I just bought Wilwood calipers with 13 inch fronts. I've had heat problems in the past so i wanted a high friction pad. Just wondering what you others are using.

J and E are street compounds IIRC. H's are the race compound

Are you sure about the "J's"???

When I had my C5 and put a set of SL-R's on the front the J was the highest temp pad in endurance thickness.

I'm going to dig up and old receipt to double check...I know you know your stuff but I'm pretty sure J's were what I ran.

H's replaced the J's. I think that the H's were supposed to be slightly more rotor friendly tho both J's and H's were/are hi temp/hi torque pads used on the heavier cars(3000#+). Gary(Hardbar) can tell us if he reads this thread.

J's are great you just need spindle ducts from LGM and DRM or you will make BIG heat.

I'm also having a race shop fab up three inch air ducting on all four. I've seen an inline fan setup also. They are supposed to wonders in the slow sections or if you stop.

the fans may block air at higher speed. What fans are you using, how much air do they push, and where is the break even point?

No, I do not have inline brake ducting fans. The system i saw had twin feeds on the front. one with inline fans. So that would cover both high and low speed.
