Tow Hook Bracket ?
I was looking around at GMParts Direct and found a Tow hook bracket in their parts catalog for the C6 Z06. They had a diagram of the front end but I couldn't tell how or where exactly it attached. Their cost was about $75. Does anyone know anything about this? It would be handy, possibly at times for those who Track their cars or anyone maybe. Look under the front bumper parts. I would like to know more about it if anyone has heard of this. I don't see where it could go unless maybe you took the grille out ???

GM has them on the front and rear of Export cars as a number of countries require tow hooks. If you look in the Service Manual there are clearer pictures of them. Here is what they look like on the C5:

Does anyone have pics of tow hooks on a C6 Z06. I'm wondering if they would go on stock C6 Z06 without cutting hole in grille somehow and for rear I don't have the slots like the C5. I have seen rear tow hook between exhaust tips on C6.

I am having same issue as you.
Phoenix sells a hinged and non hinged tow hook. I think non-hinged for the c6 is a good thing.
The rear bolts in where the muffler hangers bolt in on the rear bumper (metal frame)
You have to remove the front bumper fascia entirely so you can bolt a tow hook on for the front. So I am told but have never seen it.
I dont like the front solution.
Tomorrow I am goint to get her up in the air and see if I can find a better one. I am thinking I can bolt on a 1/2 thick by 2" wide x maybe 5" long steel bar to the frame/bumper.
Then use plastic wrapped cable with a loop at each end, one looped through the steel bracket, the other to hang down by the condensor. When you need it (hopefully not) you just reach in and pull it out and voila, tow hook.
If Gary Hoffman of Hardbar has his ears on, maybe he can chime in and tell us what he does with his Z or what he is planning on machining for us this weekend.
