Yet another cage question.... will I loose necessary interior space?
I'm 6'4" 250 so space is a premium. I'm running an ultrashield pro road race 17" seat an have it positioned properly. Obviously it has to be close enought to access the rear studs to fasten it down.
The more I look at pictures of full cages the more I wonder if I'll have any issues w/ fitting? My main concern is the top bar that runs along the outside of the roof and down the A-pillar.
Any input?
Here's a picture of me sitting in the car fastening my belts... I have the seat pretty much on the floor.

bar should be behind your head enough I think. TO Tall have a cage? You need a cage if the roof comes in your neck is the first thing to reinforce it.

Do you want your windows to work or not?
If you take your windows out, then the NASCAR door bars can be slightly farther into the door.
The bar behind your head, the A-piller bars, the bars behind or in some cases infront of the dash.
This is where talking to an experienced cage builder helps
Jim Forbis's Old car
Lance Knupp's car

an other cage
and yes all cages will obstruct the rear view. Get a bigger mirror.
and who needs to look into mirrors?? what is that saying
