When calling shotgun goes bad...

I don't know if I should be laughing or feeling REALLY bad for her. I think it's a combination of both. Remember your first ride at an HPDE with your instructor in their run group? While it wasn't this bad, I can somewhat understand how she's feeling. Apparently, she is with the STIG in a rally car.

I just had that happen saturday with a buddy of mine riding in the car. He got sick in my spare full face helmet ( which went straight into the trash can) and then passed out. He never said a word and I didnt notice until we got back to the trailer and he was slumped over, at first I was worried he was dead.

I got the impression that might have happened right after the video ended, it was rather abrupt.
Been there myself (at least the queasiness part). One time it took about 3 hours to wear off.
Personally I prefer to have my passengers enjoy their time. Autocross doesn't last long enough for them to get ill in one run. DEs I'll just dial to their pleasure.
Have a good one,
Mike

I hate to admit it but that was me riding with Short-Throw at the Autobahn yesterday.
Having said that, this is probably as good a place as any to make a few comments about the event at the Autobahn this weekend. If you've never been there, they've done a great job on the facility.
As I told a few others after my awesome experience in his car, if you ever dreamed what it was like to drive a real race car, that was IT Mike gave me an obviously modest ride due to a powersteering pump issue but it was truly amazing. I've been around all kinds of race vehicles all my life but his car still managed to surprise me. The sequential shifter was a sight and sound to behold and the very first turn on cold tires already had me hanging on for life. If it weren't for the harness, I would have come back in small pieces.
There are so many things to say about Mike, I don't know where to begin. I showed up with my daughter and twin grandsons and he immediately offered them to sit in his most awesome car. The kids were thrilled and talked about it all night. His generosity didn't end there. He had lunch catered to his new garage which is another equally amazing experience. We didn't make it for lunch but watched the races from there later. It's situated on a perfect location overlooking a huge portion of the track and a gorgeous sunset from its balcony. I can't wait to see it when finished. Everything he has and does is first class. Thanks again Mike!
Oh and I can't forget to mention the generosity of Rudy, Jeff and Frank with their rides too.

Thanks for the kind words. :o It was great seeing all of you!
I'm glad you had a chance to see the car from the inside. Quite a different perspective. Thanks for helping me get my moneys worth by using the passenger seat!
We are installing an electric power steering pump so next time you're out, we'll up the pace!

OK, I can't resist. At Baber motorsports park this past weekend with NASA, Nancy decided that she wanted to go for a ride in Mark Babbitt's ZR1 during an instructor run session. He asked her 3 times if she got sick. Asked her well into the run if she was ok. She replied that the session was almost over so let's finish it.
THE RESULT
As this was going on, Jake England, my instructor, was walking up and said "Did you make her sick by giving her a ride?"
Mark replied "Yeah, I guess so."
Jake "I wanna ride with you"
I am SO dead

I was just getting ready to paste in this picture. You beat me to it by seconds....
And Nancy, I had NOTHING to do with Bob posting private pictures of you.

Now I did ask you 3 times in front of 4 people if you got motion sickness all of which you replied "No" and then I asked you approx 3 times during that session if you were feeling OK of which you said "Yes". It was the last time I asked that I knew something was wrong when you hesitated and said that we need to go in at which time I wish I had given you one of the twenty or so barf bags that I have been collecting the past few months traveling. You held it together though. Thank God you got the harness undone, Thank God you were able to get out that Kirkey and Thank God you got the door open fast enough. I owe you. THANKS.

Thank God, indeed!
I won't exactly thank you for that ride! I let you know that I wasn't doing so good, but I wanted to finish the session. Then you hauled *** til I begged "take me in!" Oh, and did you ever get the money Bob bribed you with before the ride? - as in, "I'll give you a dollar if you make her puke!" You, sirs, are not gentleman!
