Default What do you guys do with your used brake fluid

Title says it all - I'm sure we all generate our fair share of useless brake fluid.

What do you all do with it? Just dump it down the drain? (kidding!!!)

I dump it into my used oil containers and recycle it that way.

Have a good one,
Mike

I pour mine in the neighbor's flowerbed in the middle of the night (when I usually am working on the car).

Just kidding. I pour it in my waste oil container and take to AutoZone.

Same as above - AutoZone/Advance oil recycling accepts oil, tranny, diff, and brake fluids.

I take my used oil, brake fluid, other lubricants (trans, diff, PS fluid), coolant to the local lube center ... they have collector tanks for each category.

You all = a bunch of dorks. And my rodent cats, Rush, Newt, and Gabriel protest!

What do you think of this... my other cars are a '98 Saturn (145K miles) and a 2003 Taurus (110K miles). Both have black brake fluid... what if I took the slightly darkened Motul RBF 600 from the vette (used in one HPDE) and sucked out fluid from the other cars master cylinders and swapped? Use the used Motul in the other cars?

An extremely effective weed killer. A few hours and they were all brown

Don't use it where you want other plants/grass/flowers to grow.

My neighbor has a shop with a waste oil heater. I just dump oil, brake fluid, etc, in a barrel and he picks it up and burns it. He has a huge shop for construction machines.

Walmart here takes oil for free, I would mix it with oil and give it to them if I didn't have the above setup.

Awesome. Not recycled, but reused! I think I'll email this to Al Gore; give him something else to take credit for!

Have a good one,
