pfadt coilovers
I just installed my pfadt coilovers and camber kit (7 hours), set them up 8/8, does anyone has experience with those on the track, what adjustments are you suggesting?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I installed mine this past weekend as well - pfadt coilovers and sways - took about 7 hours as well. What a chore! I'm running 10/12 on the street, haven't had it to the track yet.

I run the Pfadt coilovers on the track.....the setting really depends on the course but I run them 12/10 @ Sebring (fairly soft but the its a really bumpy course) and 14/12 at Homestead. I run the rear a click or two softer to add grip b/c my car tends to be loose. If you're loose: tighten front or loosen rear, push: loosen front or tighten rear. If you are set too stiff overall you will tend to skip in the turns and if you're too soft the car will be bad in left-right transitions/ esses etc. Hope this helps..remember, when starting out if the car isn't right make ONE big change and see what it does.

I installed the CO's and Pfatty sways 6 months ago. For street I keep them 5/5 F/R. I've had 4 fun track days with them. Tried a few different settings, have found 10/9 works well. Both sways are one off stiffest.
Not sure if you read this on the Install and Road test:

Also, am about 1.25 inches lower than stock, and running Nitto NT01's.
I am going to Homestead with NASA for 2 days this weekend and will be trying to fine tune it. I think these are awesome shocks for street and track and am very happy with this mod.

I almost forgot....make sure you set the rake and CORNER BALANCE that puppy. Made a HUGE difference.....I've got video (pre-corner balance) and the car was all over the place...would go from push to snap oversteer......a must if you're tracking the car

I ran them at the recommended track settings, and they worked great on my lightweigh car (2950 with me in it). One thing to note: they suggest you adjust the ride height at the BASE of the threaded body, not on the big locknut screws. This is different from other coil-overs I've run, so keep it in mind. If you screw them out too much, of course they'll fall apart. Anyway, by adjusting them at the base, you actually change the length of the shock, and by adjusting at the coil, you adjust the ride height within the fixed range of the shock.
Nice setup...a bargain for the money!

I did the corner balancing end up at 50.1% cross over, which is a 2lb off balancing, I think I can leave with that. caster 6.5 +/- camber 2.5 +/-, back camber 1 +/-. set the damper to 12/10. now I just have to learn to drive...
